Sorry to have to do this to y'all again, but due to the immense amount of research and development I am doing to deliver the best story as possible, I am changing the timeline of posts to at least one post per week by Friday night at 7:00 p.m. EST. Some weeks I may update on a Monday night as well since I've done it before, but we'll have to see. I'm not completely sure. I have so much material to explore and having to get it right, in order, the first time as I'm posting it piece by piece to this blog is actually kinda tricky. Lol. I promise I haven't bailed on the project. If anything, this is the only thing I do all my waking hours. 

Yes, this means I am posting by 7:00 p.m. EST tonight. I have already started working on it, and I think it's going rather well. No one's left any comments so far, but I hope that means you like it. 

Also, I have updated Parts I & II a couple of times because I realized a lot of the story's context is missing in some places, so if you want to go back and reread them to catch up, I'd recommend it. It's not too much of a change, it's still following the same flow, but there is added detail that I again believe is vital to the true message of the story, so I haven't completely left y'all hanging. I just didn't make an announcement about the changes until now.

There are a few ground rules before I introduce you and permit you entry into the world of Before Death. 

Before Death is an interactive entertainment experience. Every day at 7 p.m. EST for the next 45 days I, your host, Jericho Maisha Medina Lamash, will post a new chapter to my story for your reading pleasure.

That's it. That is all. At least one new chapter will be added at 7 p.m. Eastern Standard Time for free each day for the next 45 days. 

Please rest assured that these chapters, characters, any likeness, names, places, settings and intellectual property are solely my intellectual property and the property of KLD Enterprise. Any similarities to actual people, places, or situations are merely coincidences as this is a work of fiction from the creator's imagination. 

This is a build-as-I-go experience. I have been planning and plotting this series for decades, and since I have not been able to find a stable job since graduating with my bachelor's degree in 2013, I have not been able to focus on working on the series and planning it all out as I once hoped, I decided to stop waiting for the perfect moment to create this experience to share it with the world, and just do it outright since everything I did to properly be successful in my life has not worked as of late. 

Before Death is a personal experience. This is my art. This is my baby. It is comprised of literal blood, sweat and tears that were filled to the brim of my pores and is ready to explode come Hell or high water. If you don't like the story or want to participate in this movement, you don't have to. This space is for people who, like me, in spite of the world we live in and see falling apart all around us, remember the world we were promised as children and are working to build that world for our kids so they can have a reason to look back and be proud of where they come from today. 

Having said that, Before Death is written by an adult. It is not for children. There will be sensitive topics discussed throughout the series that you may have strong feelings about, and while I do encourage conversation, hate speech and threats will NOT be tolerated in any sense. 

Parents, if your children happen to come in contact with this site/series without your knowledge or permission, that is entirely your personal family issue and not my responsibility. I am an adult writing for my own reading pleasure, so let it be said now that I don't care. You can be assured that any sensitive topics I discuss will be handled responsibly, with proper research and sensible enough taste (sensibility is absolutely objective and I will leave that up to the reader to decide). 

Please let it be known that this Welcome page is not permanent, and although it is first chronologically, as it expands, there will be postings of dates in the heading of each new Welcome post with corresponding links to the next chapter to ensure all who participate acknowledge their reading of the updated Welcome page before they continue reading. That way we are all on the same page. ;) (Sorry. I love puns.)

Anyway, I plan to eventually have a donation page at some point if you would like to contribute, but as I said, every day, at least one new chapter will be submitted by 7:00 p.m. EST. This does not mean that only one chapter will be submitted each day. It also doesn't mean that chapters will only be submitted at 7 p.m. EST. I plan to have surprise chapters, multiple chapter days, cliffhangers, the works--everything we once loved about fanfic and reading blog posts. There may be more days after the 45 days are done. I plan for this story to take the entire world by storm honestly, so I plan to be doing this for a very long time.

Before Death-- Part I: Past, Chapter One: The Prophecy, Pt. I

When the ties that bind create a line that doesn't know yet falls in place,  a woman's voice echoed in her ears as if she said it herself, causing her to pause for a second and look around.  "Hello?" she called out. "Can anybody hear me? Where am I? Can you please tell me where I am?" No one answered. Her breath and heart fought for residency in her throat, forcing her to stop dead in her tracks, stand up straight and reach her arms to the sky, rolling her shoulders in half circles to release the pressure building due to the lack of oxygen in her chest, dissipating the tension immediately. They lay in the grass bare naked and laughing. Woman touched Man gently on the face, running her hands lightly across his strong, nimble jaw. He closed his eyes and leaned his head softly against her fingers, allowing her to caress him as she rested his head on her bare chest. She kissed the top of his head softly and began humming a weightless melody that enveloped him in desire like he never felt. Euphoria sang as it traveled above in waves til it spread apart from its individual pieces like cousins touching fingers as they say their goodbyes at family gatherings.
