Eve was a victim of circumstance really. Thrust into a never-ending battle for destiny, she was created to do exactly what she did--nevertheless, Lilith loved her. She saw her as a younger sister, by rite instead of birth, because she understood that Eve would never satisfy Him completely. There was simply just no way because Eve refused to wake up if it meant she had to let Him go. Eve would sew her eyelids shut to spite her face if it meant she could feel Adam, and God for that matter, would need her. What she failed to realize was that was because she was--by design--a living, breathing, willing sacrifice. And in order to complete the rite, something, or better yet someone, needed to be willing to be sacrificed.
